When something entirely new begins to take shape, we look for ways to move towards it. Sometimes the next step is clear. Sometimes the most important thing is to find a few possible paths and start experimenting.

Hyveäly is a change process built for communities and organisations.
First, we strengthen collaboration and discover the virtues and ways of working that matter to the community. Change can't happen without people – and we know how to invite them in.
Then we identify together what is worth developing and where AI could genuinely help. Technology doesn't define the change. The community and its goals do.

AI can speed up individual work, but at the same time part of the thinking and problem-solving moves from between people to between a person and AI. What happens to your work, your collaboration and your shared thinking?
In the workshop we pause to explore together what using AI has already changed – and what we want from it in the future.
The workshop is based on Sonja Baer's research on community and communicative AI.

We cannot build a new kind of future with old ways of thinking. In the change workshop we let go, for a moment, of what is currently possible, sensible or familiar.
We free up our thinking, dream, shift perspective and look for possibilities in places we don't usually think to look.

Change can be personal: a child moves out, a move to assisted living lies ahead, a working life comes to an end, or a whole new chapter of life begins.
It can concern a community: a workplace needs to find a new way of working, AI is changing the work, or people need to start thinking and doing more together again.
Or the question can be even bigger: how do we build better working lives, stronger communities, or a society where technological progress serves what people consider good?
In our work we combine listening, shared thinking, science, art, virtues and the purposeful use of AI. We build a way to move forward together.

We know how to harness AI.

Juhani Lindh is an engineer who graduated from Aalto University. He is responsible for mapping technical needs and for designing, building and documenting AI solutions.
His aim is to build solutions where technology supports people's work.
AI smith
Maximilian Rehn is an engineer who graduated from Aalto University. He develops and builds AI solutions and takes part in their design, deployment and further development.
His expertise combines technical implementation with practical needs.
Chief virtue expert
Antti Kylliäinen is responsible for the research foundation on virtues and for the content and delivery of the virtue process.
He makes sure that development is based on research evidence, strong values and methods that work in practice.
